Day 26 - Accidental [Voice]

[When he returned, a certain young demon overlord would seem almost unrecognisable at first. One such indicator was the lack of his trademark headphones. They’re still back in his apartment, previously dropped during that kidnapping last year. He’s also seemingly unaware of his now blue wings, like he used to have when he first arrived in Luceti a few years ago.

However, his behaviour was...odd, almost like a New Feathers, and his journal picked up on it without his notice.]

Brother? Where are you, my brother?

[His accent sounded old and unfamiliar. It’s unsurprising, since it’s from the time before the shattering of languages.

But he’s still lost and worried. It’s not like him to get lost so easily, when he was following his brother very closely.]

...Is this a test from the Lord? Or did a demon lead me astray?

[It’s a few of the assumptions Abel the Shepherd have in mind. They’re the most logical reasons he can think of at the moment. One of his wings twitches, and he glance at it with a curious yet baffled look.]

If so...why do I have wings? I am not an angel.

[He was surprised when he first saw them. How? Why? He can ask all the questions on his mind, but Abel wouldn’t know how to approach this. That may be why he's speaking his thoughts out loud.]

...My Lord?

[Can God hear his words? Of course He can, but will He send him a message?]

(OOC: So Kouki now thinks he's Abel. As in the Bible Abel. Memories wise, the murder haven't "happen" to him yet. Will last for about a week.)

[Dude, he's from Old As Shit time. As in, the world is flat and not a sphere old. But older.

Way older.]

Space-- that's what is up in the air. [ a groan. ] Above the sky and all.

Above the sky? That is where the Lord is...

[So space = heaven. Got it.]

.. You're talking about heaven, aren't you? [ Yeah, this is all definitely too weird. What is she going to do with you, Kouki.. ]

That's not what I meant. Space is dark and huge and there's lots of planets and stars in it.

[Confused silence.]

I know what are stars, but planets...?

[Older than ye olde time, yo.]

[ HE DOESN'T EVEN KNOW WHAT PLANETS ARE.. Yeah, by now Ange can figure they must either be talking about really old times or a really different world here, but.. that's weird, isn't it? Why would they do that to Kouki, what does it even have to do with him? ]

The ground you're always standing on is part of a planet. They're like gigantic rocks gloating in space, Earth just happens to be one with life on it.

[It's really old times, Ange. Really old. Being one of the first humans old.

Abel try to visualise the image, using her descriptions.]

A planet is a world and also a rock...

And they circle around stars. Following me so far?

[ She never thought she'd be giving Astronomy 101 classes, honestly.. ]

Well, all of those things are up in space. It's what's above the clouds, all around this planet.

Incredibly large... [But then again, God create everything and he inhabit but one area of the land.]

And are there other planets?

[entreats]

Plenty of them. Most of them just don't have life on them like Earth does. .. Well, at least, not any planet we have discovered so far.

Maybe the Lord have not yet chosen to give life to those planets.

[entreats]

[ .. she's tempted to say he probably didn't have much to do with it, but.. okay, Ange, okay, just let everyone believe what they want. ]

Maybe. Either way, the Earth's pretty special. But there's no telling if this is Earth as well.

Another told me to consider this as another world, not the land I was born on.

Well, at least that is true. [ Thank you other person for helping her out, something just.. seriously weird is going on with him right now. ]

This definitely isn't the place you were in just before.

[Which is bothersome, since he have his sheep to attend to and a brother to talk with.]

This is inconvenient, but I will eventually return. I do not wish to keep my brother waiting.

We all eventually return. [ .. Even if for Kouki it'll be quite the surprise when he goes back to normal. Or, well, she hopes he will, either way. ]

So don't worry about it too much. It just might take a while.

[And he's genuinely grateful. Not like Kouki isn't, normally. But Abel...is more honest and have less reasons to hide.]

I am Abel, Ange Ushiromiya. [He almost stumbles over her foreign name, but it's a valiant effort.] It may be simple, but you did help me when I was lost.

[entreats]

[ .. Abel. That sure is.. an.. interesting name.. Being named Abel and talking about God of all things?! It really can't be something like that, right? ]

Y.. yeah. I'm sure we'll talk again later. [ So she can ask Kouki just what the heck was up with this. ]
