Day 21 - [Voice]

A long time ago, there’s a large, single nation of all humanity and they all speak a single language, the old language. There were no other nations, as they’re united as one society. All on Earth, one nation, one language.

And then they journeyed from the east, where they found a plain to dwell in. From there, they built a city to live in.

But then, they decided to build a tower with the ambition of the top reaching the heaven where God sit. However, God saw the tower and literally shattered the old language into many different kinds, so they can’t communicate with each other.

And that’s one possible reason why there are many different languages today on Earth.

[Then, his voice sound more casual and lighthearted.]

So what do you think? [If anyone can see it, there’s a small quirk of a smile.] Are they arrogant or just ambitious? What about God’s judgement? Justified or overreacting?

[And old story, one that might sound familiar to people depending on where they heard it from.]

[..Huh. Interesting story!]

Ahhh I haven't heard that story before... Is that really one of the possible reasons for it?
cherishedmiracle: (015. Staaaaare.)

I see... But why did He do that? [I mean, He probably had a good reason to but... from how the story sounded, it didn't really seem like the people were doing anything bad, were they..?]
cherishedmiracle: (oh god so many icons)

[voice]

[personal profile] cherishedmiracle 2012-01-16 04:09 am (UTC)(link)
Ahh, I see... If that's the case, then I can see where He's coming from. I think..
cherishedmiracle: (Um...)

[voice]

[personal profile] cherishedmiracle 2012-01-16 05:56 am (UTC)(link)
Mmm... Maybe not... [She doesn't sound too sure though; it's kind of strange to be thinking about Him like this, after all.] What do you think?
cherishedmiracle: (Default)

When you put it that way, I think I agree.. The people may have not intended to affect or hurt Him in any way, so... It probably would've been best if they discussed it.
cherishedmiracle: (there could someday.)

[Ah well..!] Mm! That's true... It is an interesting story though. Do you happen to know of any others that explain that? [The different languages, she means.]
cherishedmiracle: (I am 12 and what is this?)

[voice]

[personal profile] cherishedmiracle 2012-01-16 07:37 am (UTC)(link)
A tree...? How come? [What did a tree do... But hey, it beats cannibalistic stories--]
cherishedmiracle: (010. Are you sure...?)

[voice]

[personal profile] cherishedmiracle 2012-01-18 12:19 am (UTC)(link)
He attacked it just because it said it would protect humans? That's kind of sad... [How cruel..!]
cherishedmiracle: (009. Maybe...)

[voice]

[personal profile] cherishedmiracle 2012-01-21 02:25 am (UTC)(link)
I see... It is really important, but I don't think people should harm others for it...
cherishedmiracle: (even if my hand is small and.)

[voice]

[personal profile] cherishedmiracle 2012-01-23 01:25 am (UTC)(link)
That's true... Aside from that though, they really are interesting stories and ways to describe our languages.
cherishedmiracle: (014. Do your best!)

[voice]

[personal profile] cherishedmiracle 2012-01-23 11:51 pm (UTC)(link)
[Hmm...] Well, some people say that they can see an image of a rabbit on the moon. So I know of a folklore that explains that... Does that count?
cherishedmiracle: (wraps around us and sleeps.)

Sure! I could be wrong about some of it though, since I don't remember it completely well, but...

In the story, there's a monkey, a fox, and a bunny. An old man asked them for food, so the monkey gathered a bunch of fruit, and the fox stole food. Since the bunny could only get grass, it gave itself to the man. It turned out that the man was a deity of some sorts, and since he was so touched by the rabbit's actions, he drew the bunny on the moon! So that's why some people say that the craters on it resemble a rabbit.

Even in the song of the Big Dango Family the moon rabbit is mentioned! [So the story is very relevant to her interests--]
