[Kouki’s return from his kidnapping was quiet and unceremonious. While he’s relatively well and in one piece, physically speaking, but it’s nothing compared to how he feels on the inside. To be very frank, he’s pissed. The young demon overlord may seem calm on the outside, but his anger was currently, and forcibly by his will, a simmering sort of anger. No matter how tempting it was to let loose and vent in the forest, Kouki would have to wait until he reach the Battle Dome.

Until then, he has other things to think about first instead of himself. Like checking on his friends and his cat.

Well, he planned to until he flipped open his journal as he walked back towards the village… Only to stop and stare at the blank pages. His fingers started flipping through the journal for the older entries, finding more and more blank pages. There’s only a few possible explanations.

Either the Malnosso want to erase history and important journal posts, or there’s an experiment going on.

What brilliant timing he got. First he spent his third anniversary in this world while kidnapped, and now he returned in time for a likely experiment. Might as well confirm what’s going on and hope the journal’s features was still intact. His voice was calm, and the journal would pick up some sounds of him quickly walking in the forest.]

Kouki Wakahisa here. Can someone tell me what’s going on?

[This time. Whatever’s going on this time have a higher priority than his anger about his memories being played with during that illusion last month.

Once he finally arrived at the village, Kouki immediately head to his apartment at CH7’s second floor to check on his cat. After confirming her well-being, he keep an eye on his journal before leaving for the village plaza. The plaza was a natural gathering spot for people, so he can watch people and even talk to them.

A young man with black wings and a pair of cat ears-like headphones (or weird head gear, if the technology was unfamiliar to anyone, or they might believe it’s his real ears) was walking around the plaza and looking at people. If he spy anyone looking very confused, or doing something strange, Kouki would call out and approach them.

More so if they're people he knew.]

[After his conversation with both Ikki and Raine, Kouki immediately set out. He's tempted to help some of the confused people he saw along the way, but in the end, he quicken his pace.

He approaches the house and raise his hand when he see Frederic.]

[Frederic gets up from his seat and walks to Kouki's side.]

It's good to see that you've returned and with your memories intact.

[Kouki lowers his hand and smiles.]

I'm glad to be back. I was gone for a pretty long time. [If he's correct about the dates, that makes it...] I think I miss about a month's worth?

Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't get anyone for that...but most people I know did.

I think it's only been going like a day.

Indeed, it hasn't been very long yet, although some might say that's long enough already. [Her included, but she's used to this, if not this particular situation.] ... in any case, since not many of us remember, at this point we just need to wait for the experiment to run it's course, and help out where we can.

They didn't cause too much trouble, right? [He assumes the elemental spirits are against their opposites. Twila was just bitter at all of them.]

That's the most we can do. I don't expect too much trouble in the beginning. Unless people are already demanding to communicate with their kidnappers. Or trying to gain attention by causing trouble.

[It doesn't seem like they're aware of the journals, as far as he can tell.]

It has. I think I was gone about around the end of last month's event. When our memories has been affected.

[Kouki seems calm, but he both curious about what happened and silently angry about it. One of the things he always dislike about this world is whenever his own memories get changed.]

Well what's going is now everyone is from different periods in their lives, which is even stranger. I never expected the Malnosso to have such power, though I suppose I shouldn't underestimate them.

[Since you know, he's used to their shenanigans.]

You guessed right! I love music, but I also like doing some arts and craft sometimes. But if I have to pick, I would put music higher on the list.

If they can make individuals younger or older, that means it's not odd if they can expand it into a large scale experiment.

[They can get used to it, but it doesn't mean they can't, you know, get exasperated by it.]

I think the biggest problem is people wanna try to tear off the wings, but there're posters about that now. ...Although some people wanna try because of the posters.

Nope!! I mean, I wasn't possessed, so I think none of them really cared about me, y'know? Everyone talked to me fine.

I wonder what else they could do to us if they figure out the technology for it.

As long as that's the biggest problem... honestly, I've been trying to keep the amount of information being explained to a minimum, just because we know they'll go back to normal soon enough. ... Although, if it lasts longer than an ordinary experiment, then we'd have more reasons to change tactics. We'll cross whatever bridge we need to when it comes to it.

Make sense, since you're pretty much an outsider to inter-spirits politics.

...If it does last longer than expected, that possibly means there might be a change in how things are run. [Or it's just a rare time thing.] But that's just a guess on my end.

Yeah, so I think that was easier...otherwise it could've been ANNOYING.

That depends on what else they want from us. I doubt they want to be too sadistic to us, unless they get something good as a result. Or they changed how they work behind the scenes.

I don't think that would have any affect on the reasons they run experiments... for all we know, they might be running one now either because it's been a while, or because they have most things under control from their end.

Invasion? [He sounds a little surprised for a moment.] Huh...That would make sense with what happened near the end of that incident.

[He was already absent when CJ made her post.]

So if that's not an experiment, I can believe they're doing this to make up for it.
