Day 28 - [Voice]

[While he’s not as badly affected by the Valentine’s experiment, only embarrassed by how open he was. All in all, it’s not too bad. The only odd thing out was his feelings over being the former human Bel.

Kouki quietly push that thought aside to open up his journal. He have a few things to say, none of which are related to how he feels about that. Just some postponed things.]

Hiro Kageyama went home. If you have any business with him, you’ll have to put them on hold.

[Which naturally leads up to...]

That means I’m currently open to and wouldn’t mind having new roommates to move in. My only requirements are that you don’t mind doing your share of the chores or don't have a problem with a pet cat around the place. [You know, in case someone’s interested but is tragically allergic to cats. Or plainly hate them, the horror.] Location-wise, I’m in community building seven. So if you’re interested, please let me know.

[Kouki’s not too interested in moving out, since CH7 isn’t that far from the plaza.]

For everyone else, got any favourite or most challenging enemies you’ve ever fought? I’m thinking of trying out new opponents in the Battle Dome.

[Hey, it’s been a while since he really let himself loose. It’s enough that a part of him almost wished to be drafted, but the young demon king keeps that thought to himself. Besides, he need a change of pace from slaughtering holographic angels.

And it's a good distraction to keep him from thinking how lonely the apartment feels.]

Hiro's gone back home? I... I see.

Yeah, he did. Are you a friend of his, Cloche?

Yes, he helped me when I needed some help more than once.

I'm not too surprised. He's a really nice guy, and pretty reliable to have around.

[His help during his mallynap effect comes to mind.]

Yes, I'll miss him. I hadn't realized he had gone. I hope he's gone back to a better place than this. Do you know if he has, Kouki?

...No. All I know is that he's back to make a very important decision. [Which is something he once dealt with in the past.]

An important decision... huh? I hope he chooses what he believes in, then. [She knows those decisions well. She's never been in a position to decide based on what she believes in, so hopefully Hiro can.] Do you think he will?

He will. Hiro's a good person with a kind heart. [And reminded Kouki of himself.

He only hopes Hiro stay safe and never lose his way.] And whatever he picks, he will mean it.

[Well, Leonhardt's idea of challenging is something that would get about anyone else killed. That and the creature really has no name, it was just a monstrosity not worth the time spent in naming it. So he'll troll in a less harmful way.]

I'd recommend to try besting a Shining Pom. You should find it most interesting.

[Shining Poms are basically the metal slimes of his world, hard to hit, have a high defense, and run away quickly. Of course, they are cute little fuzzballs with wings and a halo and they do indeed shine. Caesar's reaction to meeting one was most entertaining.]

[Writing, huh? Sure, he can follow along. Kouki picks up his pen and write his response.]

Shining Pom? That's a rather cute name. I can look it up the next time I go to the Battle Dome.

[The cute fuzzballs would both endear to Kouki and give him the temptation to crush them.]

I take it there's a good reason why there's "Shining" in their name.

[Writing mostly because Leonhardt lost his voice from dying last draft.]

A very good reason. They do glow, as opposed to other poms that are named for their coloring. That and their rarity.

[They really do tend to do that. Like so. The shining pom is the one on Leonhardt's head in there.]

A rare creature as well. That would mean they have a way to defend themselves.

[Or plainly have ridiculous agility.]

[The journals are very informative, Leonhardt sure knows everything Kouki has said or has been said about him in any thread that is public or hackable.]

What creature does not? Even a human with no fighting ability can still run away or hide. All creatures have a means of defense, some are just more effective than others.

Like I said, they are interesting to fight, You'll see when you try it.

[Which he wouldn't mind as much. It's the Abel thing he would be on guard for.]

Of course. Otherwise, most species wouldn't last as long. [Off the journals, he write down "Shining Poms" on a separate piece of paper.]

At very least, it would be a nice change from demons and angels.

[Challenging enemies? He could name a few.]

I don't know, how well can you take a hit? If you can handle being thrown into the side of a cliff, and come out the other side still able to fight, then I think I have a few that you might like.

I know I can take a hit better than most people. [Demonic endurance is a good thing, sometimes.] But no one tried throwing me into a cliff, yet.

[Mostly because his usual enemies aren't strong enough to do that, during the times he did step out into the war zone.]

So why not? I could use a challenge.

You asked for it. [Maybe start small for this guy.] You'll have to excuse their name, they're called Cell Jrs. They're small blue androids with unbelievable power for such a small package. Granted, there are far more powerful beings you could test your mettle against- but I think they'll provide more than enough of a challenge.

[How kind of Vegeta.]

Aw, but it's a cute name. ["Jrs" implied there's a "Sr" version. He might move onto that later, maybe.] Cell Jrs, got it. And I know better than to judge something by their appearances. I fought a fair number of cute but powerful demons before.

Hah, they're anything but cute. I'm sure they could shatter a mirror just by looking at it. [Ok, maybe they're not that ugly but he'll insult Cell to no end even if he's dead.] And if you do decide to try them out, please- let me know.

I'd love to see how you fare.

[This jerk just wants some cheap entertainment. Very kind of him, indeed, to pick those first for Kouki.]

What's your name? So I know who to call for after I try fighting them.

You may call me Vegeta. Prince of all Saiyans. [He says it proudly, of course.] I'll look forward to it.

Name's Kouki Wakahisa, Mister Vegeta. [He could introduce his own title, but this King of Bel didn't feel like bragging right now.] Just some guy who knows how to fight with magic.

[Who happens to be a demon king, but details.]

A sorcerer, huh? [Man he hates people who use magic. But he'll settle if it's not used on him.]

Yeah, sure. Good luck; you're going to need it.

Hm, well. I have the most challenging. He's a man that has mastered water element attacks. He can create floodwaves and giant sharks that can just rip people open. He also has a sword that absorbs all types of energy, so he really can only be beaten by hand to hand combat. [ Kisame is legitimately her worst nightmare. She'd mention Temari but at least Temari was just unpleasant and not totally evil. ]

Absorbs all types of energy?

[Given that he's a magic-user, that sounds positively scary. He wonders if this person can also absorb Almighty spells.]

How frightening! I guess I shouldn't slack off on my close combat skills too much. What's his name?

Yeah. If it has a chakra base, it'll absorb it. I'm not sure if it'll work for other types of energy, though.

[ She kinda stumbles over the last name. ]

Kisame Hoshigaki...? I think? I know his first name is Kisame, but I'm not so sure about his last name.

Chakra... [He's not very familiar with the term.] I fight with magic, but I don't know how similiar my magic is to chakra.

[It's both his own and magic from inheriting Bel demons' powers. Still, he write down the name in on a list he's been using.]

I can ask around for his name, unless the Battle Dome's system knows it already.

Hmm.. well Chakra is based on the energy your cells create, so it's kinda scientific. If your magic relies on something similar, then it might be absorbed.

I think the Battle Dome might know it. There's a lot of ninjas here, after all. [ She slightly giggles. Luceti did really like her world! ]

From the cells...where I'm from, magic's mostly comes from innate spiritual powers.

[Even though most of the demon tamers channelled most of their power from the Internet.]

A lot of ninjas? I haven't really count, so are there really a lot of ninjas here? [Wasn't there a "pirate vs ninja" poll a long time ago?]

Innate spiritual powers? Like, mental energy or something?

[ The internet would be even more confusing to Tenten so let's just leave it at innate spiritual powers. ]

Yeah. There's about ten or more from the same world here. I'm from that world, as are most of my friends here.

Yeah, something along that line.

[Kouki won't mention the internet. He pretty much know some people here doesn't have it in their world (yet?).]

That's...actually quite a lot. I don't know if that's the most people from one world or not.

[~~Big cast huh~~]

We're without a doubt the top three. [ She smiles and nods. ] We do have a lot of people from here in my world. I think we have at least ten. [ The last time she counted anyways. ]

[He feels a tinge of envy. Kouki couldn't help but selfishly wish for his friends here again. Even if it means subjecting them to life in Luceti for such a selfish desire.]

That is a lot! With so many people you know here, it must be pretty lively for you all.

[ Tenten doesn't really notice the envy. Primarily because she'd rather be not in Luceti at all. ]

It is! It's often hard to keep track of each other, you know? Sometimes you get kinda inadvertently wrapped up in something else someone did, and it can be quite hectic.

[Difference in personal preferences. Despite the bad things, Luceti give him a chance for a normal life.]

Oh? You don't mind if I get an example of that? You don't have to give me all the details, just the basics is fine with me.

Even though this isn't really something that's my world specifically, but deals with close associates of my friends so I guess it kinda counts, there was a big dramatic love confession in the middle of the hall, which just created more drama.

[ She knows this because Tenten and Ino fought each other just to spy on what was going on! It was their inner nosy nature! ]

[Ohohoho. Even if it's more Yuzu's thing, Kouki couldn't help but get curious.]

Lemme guess, it's one of those love triangle type of drama? Or maybe a love square? With love rivals and overprotective friends?

[...That sounds like something out of those drama shows.]

It's more like a collapsed bridge. He loves her, but she doesn't love him back and then he'll keep trying. [ Tenten has a funny way with words. They're just tactless!! ]

[Nah, he gets what she means. He thinks.] That sounds like a problem waiting to happen, especially if she still doesn't love him back after all of his efforts. Is he the kind of guy who will eventually drop it?

Probably not, sadly. He's also the type to flirt with just about every other girl in existence. [ Remembering the time he asked for topless pictures of her.... and now fiercely grunting and gritting her teeth. ]

...Flirt with every other girl? [Okay. Now he's wondering if this is a certain guy he knows. What other flirty guys are there in the village?]

Now I wonder if I know this guy as well.

Well, mister, [ Simply "mister" because she doesn't know his name. ] do you?

Possibly. But I could just be mistaken, depending on the guy.

Ummm, does this person have a romantic radio show? [ Her tone indicates that it's not really romantic at all. ]

[The pause just now is pretty telling.] Yes, yes he does. A guy like that is unmistakeable.

Yeah. Well, now you know. He's one of us, to some extent. [ Though he has been drifting more towards the pokémon side recently. Not that she can complain. The little critters are awfully cute after all! ]

Which isn't a bad thing. [After putting aside, well, some things. He doesn't strike Kouki as an actively malicious person.] Love drama or not.

Of course not. With him around, it's never boring. But, sometimes his behavior can just rub me the wrong way. [ She sighs. ]
