Day 30 - [Action] | [Voice]

[At school, Classmates may notice Kouki’s carrying a very full bag. Fuller than normal. Any attempts at asking will earn them a smile, followed by “It’s a secret” from him.

After school, Kouki immediately head out towards the store to pick up something. It’s something he’s been meaning to do since he first found out about Yotsuba’s departure, but… admittedly he put it off due to other distractions and plain procrastination. But not any more.

It’s with a smile that he opened up the journal and speak to the village at large.]

Hey, this is Kouki Wakahisa. For all New Feathers, welcome to the village and I hope you’re settling in okay. I can’t offer you guys much that other people haven’t already covered yet. But if you want to be friends, or even have a chat, I’d be up for it.

[But that’s not what he’s opening the journal for.]

In any case, if you guys like to see something silly but fun, come by the playground behind the school. It’ll be here until the sun start to set for the day. [The season’s been getting warmer, and summer should be here next month. Which mean the day’s getting longer.] Just don’t step on them while they’re going around. Some walking toys aren't all that durable.

[What walking toys? If anyone’s curious, they can come and check it out.

At the playground, there’s a number of animal toys walking around the playground, almost in a march. At the front of the group was a stuffed elephant, taking the lead. Watching them nearby was Kouki, who’s smiling at the view. From time to time, he’d walk over and recast the animation spell on a toy that’s about to run out and turn back into a normal toy.

It’s a pretty simple, harmless thing to make the toys move around. But Kouki did plan on showing this to a certain little girl. But unfortunately, Yotsuba’s gone...and he’d have to make up for it. Showing them to other people can brighten their day under this fine day.

At least he’s not doing it during the heat wave from the past few days. That would suck.]

They're probably the type of people who don't like silly fun.

[One of the toys that just marched by Ange is a teddy bear.]

But I'm glad to hear there's someone like you around.

.. Don't get it wrong. It's not like I'm a kid or anything. [ Overly defensive much, Ange, saying it that quickly while you're just staring at them slightly gleefully.. although truthfully it's since it reminds her a little of the things Maria did. She misses that girl.. ]

It's just.. interesting, I guess.

Alright, Ange-san. But for others, we can be a kid at heart sometimes.

[He saw how she's looking at the toys, but Kouki's not sure if he's guessing them right.]

Well, I can't deny that a piece of you, no matter how deep down, has to be like that at least. Or you wouldn't think up something like this to begin with.

I can't take full credit for this idea. Someone give me an idea and I run along with it.

So there's that many people thinking about toys running around, huh.. that should say something about this place. [ Obligatory remark. ]

.. Did some kids come to see these too?

Not yet, unless they did and I haven't notice.

[Well, it's possible! Since this overlord's attention was on the toys.]

Maybe some of them were too shy to come closer and watched from afar.. [ .. then again, she hasn't seen too many kids around here lately. That's for the best though. ] I'll ask Satoko-chan later if she wants to come see them too. But maybe she'll think she's too old for this kind of stuff.

[To be honest, he prefer Luceti to have less kids. At least adults and most teenagers can (somewhat) handle being apart from their parents.

Well, if she like, I can always give her a small performance in her house. Out of the public's eyes, if she likes it.

Ah, I'm not so sure if it's okay to leave you alone with her.. I might have to fear for your safety.

[ It's half a joke, half a warning. Satoko is the trap master for a reason, okay. ]

Oh? Lemme guess...she's a little monster?

[In the sense of causing troubles and playing pranks.]

She's proclaimed herself the "trap master" and she keeps setting them up for Keiichi to fall for through the entire house. [ She says it with the straightest face since this part is entirely true.. ]

Sounds like a challenge.

[Did Ange think that would deter him? There's a smile on his face at that info.]

Just stuff like powder falling on your head, things flying at you and all?

[entreats]

[ .. Ah, so Kouki's that type.. well, if she has both this guy and Keiichi indulging her, then maybe she'll at least leave the rest of the village alone. ]

Stuff like that. Sometimes it's a little more extreme like trap holes you fall into, but most of the stuff is pretty simple. Like filling meat balls with hot sauce.

As long the trap holes aren't too deep, I think I can deal with it.
